Actually, you are wrong. The employees at Citizens are not “Government” Employees. And a payment is generally processed the same day, not 10-12. Now processing applications and other documents may take that long due. Did you ever stop to think that maybe some of those days were weekend days? In actuality, only 2 business days went by before it was noticed and changed. Get your facts straight before you start posting.

This makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. I’m so glad that the vast majority of my policyholders don’t have to deal with the nonsense that is Citizens.

How do you think that conversation went in Jacksonville…gee Bob, we got this here change of address notice are we moving?

I wonder if this was a prank from a pissed employee or if someone started a company called ‘Citizens (fill in the blank)’ and started cashing a bunch of checks that were payable to just ‘Citizens’.

Think anyone at Citizens said ‘hey, no mail today…..that’s odd.’?

They are government workers at Citizens. I’m sure the mail room didn’t want to stir the pot…great to have a few days with no mail I say!

This is just ONE EXAMPLE of how Identity Theft can occur. To date, over 500,000,000 points of critical personal info has been breached by businesses and government agencies. Meanwhile, the FTC is sitting on their hands to implement the Red Flag Rules.

Yes, you’d sure think someone in authority would notice that they didn’t get any or as much mail for that long a period. Can anyone change the mailing address for a government agency like Citizens without having to show that they have the authority to do so?

I find this puzzling and sort of comical at the same time. I would like to see proof of the written request. It could have been a mix up on the Post Offices part. If we dont receive mail for one day, we certainly question it and I can guarantee you we dont receive near the mail that Citizens does.

It took 5 days to notice that the huge pile of mail that they were working on was getting smaller. They are so behind on processing the mail at Citizens that it is not hard to believe that no one noticed. It is not unusual for it to take 10-12 days for payments to post, etc.
