I’m no attorney but seems to me each and every deceased family member deserves compensation – I cannot believe the gross neglegience of this very preventable tragedy

Yes, a very tragic mistake, but these people are just greedy: “A jury previously awarded Woodward’s family $7.1 million in compensation and $750,000 for pain and suffering.”

Attention bleeding hearts. Where is the negligence? The pilots made a MISTAKE. They didn’t take the short runway on purpose. People do make mistakes. And what’s the basis for punitive damages? They’re intended to punish someone for their aggregious behavior. That isn’t the case here. Leave it to some local judge from Jerkwater KY to find a way to give money away.
