People on the outer Banks have never done anything to save the beaches-after the nor’easter
now is the time to start preaching again

BRING BACK THE ONE PENNEY TAX!!

It was only a penny more per dollar spent-when you went out to eat-and on prepared foods only—it will bring in more that 5 Million Dollars per year

Will be enough money to refurbish the beaches from Kitty Hawk to Nags Head every 5 years

Your real-estate taxes and other taxes will go up –if we lose the oceanfront homes

These homes are the first to rent- and bring in the most taxes—

tourist pay 12.75% renters tax every week-most of these homes bring in 4 times more money then the average owner occupied dwelling-and no one lives in them full time and OCEANFRONT HOMES ARE A (O) Tax burden— if you lose the beaches and these homes–YOUR TAXES WILL GO UP—

they say global warming is making the ocean rise–I think it has a lot to do with

the sand from beaches–we lose from 2 feet to 10 feet every year–think about a glass full of water or a mud puddle— if you add sand-the water overflows— pump the sand back on our beaches

VIRGINIA BEACH DID AND IT WORKS

PUMP THE SAND BACK- THAT HAS LEFT OUR BEACHES

BRING BACK THE ONE PENNY TAX!!

You decide to live on the coast where hurricanes and tropical storms are an annual event and a constant risk you do so at your own peril. I don’t want my tax dollars paying to rebuild businesses. They could/should have protected themselves in the private market. As for the beaches, only a small percentage of vacationers use them so why should federal dollars pay everytime they get damaged?
