1st – Escalators have warning signs all over the place to watch your kid – no strollers – there is a risk of entrapment (and for those of you that can’t read… a pretty little picture so you can figure it out)

2nd – Escalators were never designed to provide safety to a marshmallow strapped to your foot

People put these cheap shoddy foam rubber boats on their kids feet and expect everyone else to be responsible for the obvious? Lets see… hummmm if I have a properly secured, proper fitting shoe on my kids foot or a sloppy (probably too big for the kid anyway) foam rubber boat dangling half way off their foot because they can’t walk in it anyway …which one do you think will get caught in the escalator… Not to mention the parent probably wasn’t paying attention to the kid in the first place and letting them skru around on the steps and tourment the other riders.

I’d be looking at comparative negligence on the parents part for buying the dumb shoe in the first place.

Agree GMAB. Unfortunately, the plaintiff is negligence free (age)and nobody wants to pursue the parents for their stupidity.

This is the suit brought by the radio producer for the Neal Boortz show.
