The owner of a torched building in Oak Hill that housed the largest antique mall in southern West Virginia is debating whether to rebuild.
Terry Musick said he planned to talk with his insurance agent. But he said the inventory is irreplaceable and the chances of securing another tenant is doubtful.
The Carpetbaggers Antique Mall was destroyed in a Wednesday night fire.
Oak Hill Fire Chief Tim Richardson estimated the loss at $500,000.
Police have charged 25-year-old James Michael Shell of Oak Hill with arson. He remained at the Southern Regional Jail last Friday on $15,000 bail and does not yet have an attorney.
Shell told police he lit a candle so he could see after getting locked inside the building when it closed.
