someone told me that they had Barbaros remains at this exhibit and i was planning on taking the kids next summer to see this we all watched when the tragedy occurred at the Preakness and had hoped Barbaro could be saved and we were so sad when he died we wrote to George Bush and asked that there be a day of mourning and of course we never heard back :(

Three jockeys giving tours in the basement at the time of flooding were carried to safety on the sholders of a 6′ 4″ security guard….

Although I too was saddened by Barbaro’s death, the idea of the President declaring a day of mourning for a horse seems ridiculous. We have policemen, firemen, service members dying in the cause of mankind and there is no day of mourning for each of those humans. A day of mourning for a horse – no way.

I think my dog ate some of Barbaro’s remains last nite. She did do a little gallop after the meal, that is what tipped me off.
