Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned, nor hell a fury like a woman scorned.

Seems the only thing our legal system and the courts know is the concept of awarding money as the sole rememdy for everything. Hey, if your spouse is banging someone else you lost his/her affection long ago. You don’t deserve money. While adultery violates the Ten Commandments, it isn’t illegal. Just because the scorned spouse is p-issed off, it shouldn’t translate to unjust enrichment.

Hummm unjust enrichment – lets see – having to give half of your retirement fund because they didn’t have one… losing your house because you had to sell it as a result of the split – and starting over with the kids – getting stuck with half of their credit card debt (after all, it’s a 50/50 relationship isn’t it – Finding out they didn’t pay their income taxes on their business quarterlies like they were supposed to for the past year and get hit with a $6700 tax bill that you also get to share – Why shouldn’t the “object of their affection” have to participate a little in the pain? And BTW Calif ExPat – It isn’t always the “woman scorned”…
