Giving out tickets has noting to do with saving lives. This seems like illegal profiling. This will not reduce traffic accidents by teens. This has been tried before in NC and the result was that the state took in more $.

well what they need to do is, make the fines higher. teens think they can drive and they can’t. my nephew rides to school every day with his neighbor, and ever day he talks about how his boy drives. kids die because of stupidity. no what they need to do is make the fines higher, and make these kids do community service for these tickets. if you are 18 or younger fines should be double AND have to do community service.

Yes, teenage drivers make mistakes. They are new at this driving thing. But higher fines will not correct their driving. It all starts in the home. If parents will take control of their children and teach them how to respect others then they will be more likely to respect the laws of our highways. I have children and it is hard teaching them the right way but no one said it would be easy. Want to increase the chances of your child being a good driver? Teach them to be respectful of others and to obey the rules. If you have no rules in your home why would a teenages think about the rules outside of the home?
