More garbage products from China! No way! The country our new administration aspires to be like is producing garbage? I had no idea communism is an ineffective style of government. How unfortunate it will be when all the obamamorons realize what was America is gone and their children and grandchildren will be paying dearly for it for a long time.

Really, Realist, get a life. After all – tainted drywall is not near as relevant as the formaldahyde hotels, er travel trailers, that Fema forced citizens into. The ambulance chasers who frequent this site would be getting excited if toxic drywall were all that important. Remember, you don’t need to get excited unless the ambulance chasers get excited. That’s your cue.

I can only assume their outrage is offset by 1) the messiah cannot be wrong and 2) there must be no possibility of sueing the crap out of our lifelong creditors, the Chinee.

Formaldahyde is not so good for you, but it is something to blame on Bush even though did not build the trailers. Watch CNN and MSNBC for the latest blather.

Sulfur, which yields sulfur dioxide and sulfur trioxide which corrode copper is even worse. Formaldehyde is tolerable in the lower concentrations in some of the temporary trailers (which were replaced at no cost to the flood victims) than the oxides of sulfur which are the basis for “acid rain” that was a big topic of discussion years back.

Sulfur trioxide burns your lungs out (sulfuric acid) quickly and damages copper wire, possibly causing fires. (This would be covered by insurance, the subject of this site.) “Realist” was merely noting that the central government of the origin of the drywall has no qualms about quality. Note the recent melamine infested products, lead painted toys, etc. Note also that the drywall lawsuits are directed at the Germans, not the Chinese, for obvious reasons. You will not see U.S. lawyers in China, perhaps standing in front of tanks as the students did a few years back (recall the T-Square event).

I suggest being realistic, unless you have photos of US lawyers standing in front of Chinese tanks. I said standing, not lying (that means horizontal, not mis-speaking) in front of Chinese tanks. Our present administration will tell the Chinese to come over and replace all of the defective drywall and they will do it much faster than the “formaldahyde hotels” were dumped. There are supposedly 60,000 homes affected, how many defective trailers were there and what was the relative value of both. Was there any drywall product liability insurance? I think that is what the lawyers are going after, German insurance companies. Politics or Realistic? We report, you decide.

Wow, Fla Agent and a few more got really upset when the messiah was attacked. We had eight years of Bush bashing on this site and still are blaming him for the sun setting everyday. Chinese are selling us junk and they also own a chunk of most of the companies that we represent. Let’s not get so defensive of the man that just sunk our financial system.

Bush did not build the trailers, but he got the blame. That is Bush Bash 101, but pointing out that the Messiah has stepped in it is not allowed. This would be very funny if it was not so darn serious. Fortunately, the people will realize that they hoped things would change and are finding out that it is still politics as usual but without the ability to complain about it. Messiah will have to tax the rich (those making over $50,000 a year) to pay for all the new spending and he will be a one term wonder, plus there will be house (and senate) cleaning in 2010. The spending is not kick-starting the economy, making jobs, or saving homes. People are not paying their insurance premiums so they can eat. I hope this changes.
