but ur still missing the point…

the government knew about this product from day 1… this is the crux of the situation that everyone tends to forget… afterall, FDA had to approve of this product to be sold and they locked the recipe and the data away for several years (obviously) until they saw that medicaid was going broke due to rising costs associated w/lung cancer… now as with anything, you can get over a habit… it’s just a matter of will and making a conscious decision… again, folks did not read labels anyways… how many of you purchase food products and actually read the label? that is the problem!! if this person had been 16 to smoke, where was the parent issue? afterall, are we forgetting about that responsibility of a parent? this is getting out of hand and our courts are being boggled. with the economy today, more and more companies are going under, so there might not be any money to payout anyways… the other blog, stated, what about the money that had been set aside for these things anyways? if i were a judge, i’d be throwing this out!

Hey Fuddruckers, I am very addicted to your bacon cheeseburgers. I eat one every day and have for 20 years. Now I am going to die of heart problems… now please pay my family a billion dollars, and while you’re at it send another couple billion to some attorneys.

I agree Matt, that special sauce on the Big Macs is also terribly addicitive. I need $500,000,000 to ease my pain.

I think your all missing the real issue. If someone smokes it is initially their choice. Once addicted to the nicotine that has been put in the tobbacco for the sole purpose of addicting you to the drug, your brain craves the drug. The tobbacco companies have known this for many years. If they were to put a notice on their acks that would say” Hey we laced the tobbacco with nicotine which is a highly additive drig and you might not be able to get off the drig that easily and the drug has many side effects which could be dangerous to your kidneys and baldder, i bet the law suits wouldnt have a chance. Now because they knew the aide effects and knew nicotine was additctive AND THE ONLY REASON THEY LACED THE TOBBACCO WITH THIS STUFF IS TO ADDICT YOU SO YOUD BUY MORE OF THEIR PRODUCT, HATS PRETTY BAD AND THEY SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR DECIET. wHY DOESNT A DRINK MFG PUT HEROIN IN THE DRINKS SO WED ALL BE HOOKED ON THAT OR BETTER YET THE A/C MFGS PUT HEROIN GAS IN YOUR AC SYSTEM SO YOU COULDNT STAND TO BE AWAY FROM YOUR HOME FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR. hMMM.. i HOPE THEY NAIL THEM TO THE CROSS. NOT BECAUSE THEY SELL CIGARETTES BUT BECAUSE THEY STILL FEEL THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH LACING THE PRODUCTS WITH NICOTINE. bY THE WAY IT SERVES NO OTHER PURPOSE THAN TO ADDICT THE USER. SO WHY DO THEY CONTINUE TO PUT THIS IN THEIR PRODUCT. ASK YOURSELF THAT QUESTION.
