The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is giving Tennessee $20.6 million for disaster relief.
U.S. Senators Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker announced the news in a release from Washington, D.C.
The grant will aid residents in rebuilding their homes and businesses after they were damaged by tornados and severe weather this year.
The money is a part of the $6 billion in supplemental Community Development Block Grant funds given to states for expenses related to disaster relief and long-term recovery.
