This is ridiculous! It is extremely unfortunate for this young man, but now any time a player is injured in a sporting event or “practice”, it’s the coaches and school district’s fault?
Next, our children won’t be able to play school sports due to liability!!!!!
An errant shot by another student resulted in this injury. It doesn’t sound like supervision or instruction are issues and shouldn’t be factors in liability. You must be proven negligent to be held liable. A bad shot doesn’t meet that standard. You assume a risk when you walk onto a golf course. Sometimes things are simply accidents and don’t warrant compensation.
