Another $27.5 million thrown down the coastal toilet. I guess when you live in a society with endless resources you can throw money at every problem even when it’s a poor risk.

Amy, a large part of this is for buidling at a new campus north of I-10 in Gulfport. Some of it is for repair of existing buildings at the old Gulf Park campus in Long Beach. Even though Gulf Park won’t be the primary campus, it is necessary to maintain that campus in order to retain ownership under the terms of receiving it 40+ years ago. Also, it is important to continue the Southern Miss branch on the Gulf Coast where they have 2,000 students and could have 6,000 in 10 years.
