As a licensed motorcycle operator for nearly four decades I must agree that the so called crotch rocket riders are overall a worthless bunch of sub-human garbage. They come up for no reason and tried to kick over Harley riders twice their age and then speed off. What seems to be reducing this type of deviant behavior was the shooting of some of the deviants and their bikes. The sport bikes are no match for the speed of a 357 at close range. Thank you God for the rightr to pack my Smith & Wesson 357 in the great state of Texas.

Wow.. Don’t think I will ever come to Florida. I guess it’s socially acceptable to speed in a car, drive drunk, carry an illegal weapon, shoot people… Don’t do wheelies on a bike though… Please tell me… how often does a motorcyclist kill someone in Florida? I’m sure that the odds are that a motorcyclist is hit and killed by a car at least ten times more often than a motorcyclist hurts anyone but themselves.

Yes, and I am sure that the public will discern the difference between you puttering down the highway in formation with a bunch of pretend b**d***s going 40 with your loud pipes. You are a biker and just as likely to be run off the road buddy…

We saw one of these douche bags riding on his front wheel while using his front brake. It was really funny because the idiot’s motorcycle flipped over just as he was showing off right in front of a state trooper. Plastic junk shattered and went all over the place. The lawman got out of his car ticket book in hand and came over carrying a large piece of what had bee the front of the motorcycle so he and his new friend could have a talk. Nobody shot him and no innocent bystanders were killed or injured. A bunch of us who stopped to see if the idiot was alright began clapping when the trooper began writing the first ticket. BTW we don’t live in Florida.

When his rocket swerved out of control he flew 30 feet only to find his unmanned speeding crotch rocket comming straight for his rectum. The front tire was lodged in his anus… as the police officer proceeded to issue carass driving sitation!

Most police dept’s have a no chase policy on these bikes because it’s virtually impossible to catch them unless there is a little luck involved. It will be hard to issue these citations.

We all lose when one of these knuckleheads are killed. Regardless of fault. The person that runs into a speeding biker doesn’t feel great about killing someone. I know from personal experience. Yea, your friends and neighbors want to elect you mayor when you “clean-up” the roads a little when the cops couldn’t do it, but it doesn’t make you feel much better.

Ellis, your data may have some validity but isn’t that way accidents happen? Car turns in front of bike, car turns in front of car, etc. No one’s out to target bikes. Bikes are just going be the biggest loser. Love those “watch out for motorcycle” bumper stickers. Hell, I just want someone to watch out for my car.

To hell with fining them. Destroy their motorcycles and lock them up. These idots need to be locked up on the first offense and hung for the second. Besides endangering the public they look and act like retarded step children. Enough is enough!

Anyone who has had a motorcycle drive on the white line between them and a truck on I-95 doing at least 90mph would applaud the state for taking their bikes.

They want to kill themselves, not my problem. Trying to take the rest of us with them should AT LEAST warrant losing their bikes and their licenses.

WOW! How do y’all really feal about this? Let’s see, take away the vehicle for not obeying a traffic law. What’s next? Take away your house for domestic abuse? Take away your car for parking tickets? The gestapo already takes property for drug offenses, no due process. Do we really want to go this route?

We’re not talking about confiscating a vehicle for a parking violation. That has no implications to the safety of others. I agree with everyone who’s commented thus far. The reason this country has these problems is we’re too soft on idiots. Nobody perceives any serious consequence so they spit in the face of the law. With the FIRST offense, there should be a hefty finanical fine, mandatory 10-days in jail, and impoundment of the bike for 6 months. The second offense should be the LAST one a moron can commit. Pull the license and conficate and destroy or sell the bike. Allowing this fools to remain on the road is irresponsible and puts others at risk. Then when they injure themselves, we all contribute to paying their medical costs.
