He should be disbarred, not sanctioned. There should be very little tolerance to bribery and fixing the legal system to line your own pockets. He should also have to return any money’s he has made off the government for the last 10 years. Plus he should be fined as much as he extracted from Tobacco.

This maggot got rich screwing the legal system and has lived the good life. Where were these zealots for the past 30 years while Ricky was plundering companies and their insurance carriers? Even if Ricky is dis-barred and fined, will he really be punished? Doubtful, expecially in the south. Scruggs is an embarassment to his profession, but he got away with long enough not to have to care anymore. Who’s the real fool here? The “good old boys” aren’t going to play hardball with Ricky.

well, whether its too little too late, i don’t think so. afterall, if you had seen an earlier article, things are falling all over the place over scruggs. they are probably going to double check all the cases he’s done as class action lawsuits as well. he’ll be disbarred and fined heavily and sentence. bribery – not good when your talking as a federal offense.

Why can’t anybody pull the plug on garbage like Scruggs before they’re ready to retire with a fat bank account? Where were all these brave souls while Ricky was doing his thing? It’s only after a complete collapse of his empire that these local wimps are piling-on.
