Even I, who didn’t drink as a teenager, don’t see a point in this. Who cares what the alcohol content of this beer is? This is a stupid waste of time.
Teenagers will drink whatever they can get. Since they can already get liquor with more alcohol than the beer that’s being contested, why ban the beer?
I remember the good ol’ red letter lid days (3.2 beer). Now they label it as Light (Lite) and raised the price. I believe the regular Bud is less than 5% so catching the buzz wasn’t that much harder. It did require more pit stops though…
If this isn’t passed everyone will be forced to drink Bud, Miller, and the other domestic crap (except Sam Adams, that is good!). If that isn’t cruel and unusual punishment, I don’t know what is. Note to self, never travel to Alabama….
I have never seen teenagers buy good high end german or other high end import beers. If younger people buy more expensive beers then the typical Miller Lite, Bud Lite, Budweiser, Coors Lite etc… They buy Heinekin, Corona or other beers that are popular. I am 24 years old and have drank beer since 13 and I love it. I discovered good beers by going to beer tastings in the last few years and settling down a bit. This is rediculous as the types of beer they are talking about will only be bought by people who know and love beer. These people also probably dont drink to get drunk, they drink it because they like it. Sure, you may get a buzz but your probably not slamming $6 bottles of beer. I too drank beast, natty ice and the likes as a youngin. Some idiots like the democrat in the artical have no clue and absolutely zero street smarts. Now Alabama can enjoy the good stuff like us in Florida. Go get some Duvel.

suggested that the brewers will come up with specialty beers with more alcohol and fruity taste that are cheaper.
