Touche, Mike. I feel the same way. Nothing will change until the “illegal employers” start feeling it. Those companies hire illegal workers with initial false information, but don’t follow up & get rid of them when the records don’t match. Go figure. Pay the medical bills only.

If you don’t belong here, if you commit fraud by falsifying documents, if you don’t pay taxes, if you don’t spend the money you earn here, you damn well shouldn’t get any benefits of law-abiding American citizens.

This court is a joke and the focus on the employer evading WC premiums is not the major issue.

If employers break the law by hiring illegal aliens, who then get injured, this is what you get.
Perhaps we start holding employers accountable, then maybe the illegal aliens wouldn’t come here for jobs.
Until then, you’ll keep seeing decisions as the So. Carolina’s.

…that if they do the work, expose themselves to the dangers of the job & get hurt, they should not be entiled to the benefit of medical compensation? Granted, they are not supposed to be hired, but that’s not at issue here. As for taxes, are they not taken out of their checks if they get paid that way? They have to spend some money here. Seems the worker would be the victim in this case.

    To–So I am Saying..
There it goes again..Someone not having the employer be held responsible for hiring illegal workers.

Funny how people can blame the illegal immigrants for coming here but then not hold our companies responsible as well.

Here it is, if they couldn’t get jobs here, they wouldn’t come so the whole issue of WC claims and benefits would become moot.

So..Lets start with huge fines for those who employ illegal immigrants as well huge fines anyone who are found to provide housing to them.

Maybe when the penalties start adding up, maybe things will change.

Arizona will have a ‘pound the employers’ Law in place effective next month – watch this slow our tidal wave of illegals to a trickle – second offense costs you your business license – first offense, a 30 day closure
