This isn’t a partisan issue. Commercial and residential interest groups should fully support the reduction of development in high risk areas. Though it may run contrary to their official position to make maximum profits it is a travesty to drop the monetary risks on the backs of the tax payers and insurance consumers.

Hey, taxes and government intervention may be high depending on who you ask. How can one argue personal responsibility when these leeches are building a billion dollars worth of commercial construction in an area that they know will destroy those very buildings? If the government keeps getting these types of requests it will feel like it has to get more involved to protect people from themselves.

Everyone has a stake in this. Its high time the scumbugs who want to maximize their profits while ruining it for everyone are stopped repeating old mistakes.
