Yeah right. The Titanic didn\’t need lifeboats because it was unsinkable and Delta residents don\’t need flood insurance because the levees are unbreachable.

    Question…

Any guess as to what will these same officials be saying if one of these leveis break and the people below the levie loss everything?

What about if the people below the levie loss everything and then find out that they have no recourse against their local officials who encouraged them not purchase flood insurance?

Will we ever admit that anyone liking in or near a flood zone should purchase flood insurance?

Let\’s ask Trent Lott his opinion on this subject. It\’s unfortunate but if you don\’t use strong language or scare tactics, people won\’t listen.

These will be the same people when flooded out will be the most vocal and point the finger at FEMA. Well, I say, keep all of these quotes and letters, and then if the time comes and they need assistance, say, sorry, we gave you adequate warning, now you are on your own. Too many people believe it won\’t happen to them. I say, make them sign a waiver declining any gov\’t help since they won\’t help themselves.
