County Indicts West Virginia Woman on Workers’ Comp Fraud

The Raleigh County, W. Va. Prosecutor’s Office indicted a Raleigh County resident on one felony count of wrongfully seeking workers’ compensation benefits.

Angel M. Delung, 34, of Shady Springs, allegedly filed a false claim against her then employer, Beaver Creek Antiques LLC., in September 2005 and received benefits totaling just over $3,800.

Delung was indicted on May 15. No arraignment date has been set at this time. If convicted she faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $2,500.

Offices of the Insurance Commissioner’s Fraud Unit participated in a joint investigation with the Prosecutor’s Office.
