Kathy, do you really believe what you have written? I find it hard to believe that you think what the Gov. has done is in the best interest of all Floridians. By the way, when the assessments happen, not if, I will be the first one to tell you to stop complaining about a 10 to 20% TAX b/c of this Gov.
I believe 100% in what I wrote and having been born and raised in Florida and not have had ANY dammage EVER. I believe that what the insurnace industry is feeding us is just a bunch of bull. Like I said before Florida has had many years without any hurricanes and WHEN we have a couple more no storm years Citizens Insurance will have enough in it\’s reserves that it will be prepared IF there is another storm. The problem with the private market is they take those years and years reserves (our premiums)and give their CEO\’s big bonusus so when there is a storm they cry poor man and that they are going broke…give me a break!
Are there any other FORUM web sites out there to help me find ins.coverage?
I need to read all the quotes/help I can get!
Allstate, Royal Palm, Citizens.. HELP
Kathy, below are some recent year homeowners loss costs for the state of Florida. The 2006 figures come out in August. Bottom-line, the state has generated individual year losses that require multiple profitable years to offset. These good years aren\’t happening either in the number or amount necessary to do this.
I did!! It is a state run company called Citizens and with my help it has lowered millions of homeowners premiums so they will not loose their home. Something you insurance people care nothing about!!!
Ruth,
You won\’t find anyone on this forum to help you, they are all up to their eyeballs in insurance money. If you had Allstate and were dumped into Royal Palm you should check out Citizens rates. I guarantee they will be lower (a lot lower) than Royal Palm. You can also get help like I did from the people at http://www.hacfl.org My insurance premium went from $4219 on to $2920 on Citizens.
Kathy, Citizens has already gone insolvent once. Amazing how much faith you put in this poor track record just because it delivered a lower, aka under-priced, quote.
I am paying over $100 on my homeowners policy, this year and last year, and more years to come, because your stupid Citizens charges you an artificially low rate. I am subsidizing cheapskates like you, but you are too selfish to care. When Citizens goes into the red again, you and your kind are the parasites on the backs of all Floridians.
