\”….Fearing what he called an \”inevitable financial calamity if Florida is hit by a major hurricane,\” Stander said SB 2498 puts all Floridians at risk by paying relatively small premiums now in exchange for paying much more in the future: \”There are serious consequences to this quick-fix approach to the state\’s property insurance crisis,…\”

Stander….RELATIVELY SMALL PREMIUMS??? How praytell can you use those words in the same room as the words Florida\’s homeowner\’s insurance rates? Why didn\’t you mention the increases in the 100 percent plus numbers that we have been breaking our backs to pay for for years now??? Floridian\’s are at risk NOW of losing their homes because they cannot afford to pay their insurance premiums. You want to talk \”catastrophe?\” Check out my and thousands of other Pasco and Hernando County Resident\’s Insurance bills! My rates have skyrocketed from $674.00 to $4,200.00 in under four years. I am so very sick of listening to you double-speaking, self-serving babble-heads that have absolutely NO CLUE what we are dealing with out here in the real world boo-hooing and crying doom and gloom if we get so much as an iota of relief!!! Look at the statistics you moron….the insurance industry has had years of record profits and Florida is having record foreclosures! And to add insult to injury, I just got hit with an $8.00 surcharge on my auto policy from Allstate, the same crooks who won\’t insure my house…it is just never enough, is it. Just what planet (or should I say state or county) is your soapbox? I would highly suggest that you just shut your pie-hole and let the chips fall where they may. If the big one does hit, I, for one, wouldn\’t rebuild in this state if I was paid twice what my house is worth. I am a military brat and have lived all over this world and in many states in the U.S. Without a doubt, the (bought and paid for by Lobbyists) Legislature and powers-to-be (sans Charlie Crist)in this state have made Florida a god-forsaken third world run state. I would suggest that before anyone is allowed to move to Florida they should be stopped at the border and be required to be tested on if they can Bend Over And Grab Their Ankles, because that is getting to be a requirement to live here!
