Who would have EVER thought there would be a day when people sought out coverage with Citizens instead of an insurance company.
The sad thing is that if Citizens writes full coverage in the wind areas, those homes owners will surely pay more, because the real companies are not going to fight for those policies and take on the wind exposure also. As promised the politicians are giving us lower rates, but will it really work…

The main concern of politician\’s is to get re-elected. Some of them up there in Tallahassee are insurance agents and they no the problem, but they have higher aspirations to think of.
I see no discussion on the taxes issue, only the big bad insurance companies.

It looks like, in order to lower rates, the politico\’s are trying to create ways to attract, though lower prices, broader coverages, more business to the state owned company. Why not go all the way and outlaw private insurance in the state and force everyone to purchase insurance through the state. The taxpayers will pay for it one way or another…Don\’t pretend you are a capitalist when you are a socialist.
