    Govenor Crist,
My wife and I agree with your efforts to congress to provide insurance and affordable insurance for the home owners in Florida. I am President of the Master Board at Edgewater Arms in Dunedin, Fla. We cannot get wind or hail coverage for our $1,595,000.00 Club House. We are having to levy an assessment of 300 per owner or 60,700.00 to provide a Disaster Fund. These assessments are killing the housing industry in Fla. People are afraid to buy since there is so much uncertainty. When are you going to have your special session on insurance. I want to attend.

WHY SHOULD THE GOVERNMENT SUBSIDISE THE BUILDING OF MULTI MILLION HOMES, RECREATION, AND BUSINESS\’ IN PLACES WHERE THEY SHOULD NOT BE. DEVELOPERS WOULD STOP BUILDING THEM IF THEY WERE SUBSIDIZED BY FLOOD INSURANCE AND ANYTHING ELSE CONGRESS THINKS OF

I am tired of committees! Meanwhile the public that has elected officials to represent them continue to suffer with huge insurance premiums while said officials bask in the monetary payoffs of the insurance lobby. Why has the Attorney General looked into this matter! When will we find someone to really represent those who have put them in office.

I have finally found a few good men.
Cong. Gene Taylor & Trent Lott are on our side.
Katrina took their home in MS.
    State Farm Denied the Claim.
    Then Mississippi began to complain.
This is when we went to war.
They rolled up their sleeves, gathered
evidence and hired the best Lawyer in the South.
They went up to bat then started
    swinging.
Now the entires Industry is under investigation.

God sent Katrina for this reason.
He had enough of this too.
    We are his children.

    It\’s not the cost..
    The problem is…
You would be paying premiums for nothing…
Even if you had a free policy
    you are without benefits.
    No coverage or financial protection…

    If you will…
    Add your Annual Premium
    Add the Policy Deductible
    Add the Hurricane Deductible
    Consider: They only Pay…
    Above the Water Line
    Then Minus Depreciation
The will not pay for water, surge or rain,
    wind driven or spray.
Now another exclusion for wind & hail.

When State Farm Denied to pay,
Fellow Americans rushed to our aide…
    This my friend
    is the American way.
State Farm left us standing outside.
Paid $0 for wind, said all water.

    Their Policies belong in Russia.
    Not in the USA.

I was up set & angry,
I thought that I would die,
I went to the Almighty for guidance…
    Now I understand why.

    SELF-INSURED with our City & State…

The Tax Assessor already has property descriptions.
We pay them for Hurricane Insurance, Wind, Water, Rain OR Hail…

If we get another hit…before we can store money in escrow
We let the Government bail us out…
    Insted of the Insurance Industry.

    We save the agents commission.
No overhead, we\’re in the tax office.
Reinvest in each other & MAKE BILLIONS
    with our city & State.

    Their Golden Rules
    & Calculating Exclusions…
    paying above the water line,
    excluding flood, surge & rain.

    I never felt this stupid.

It was God that sent Katrina,
    Denounce them all by name.
Since I was a little child,
    10 Commandments were always read,
Bearing false witness, was one of the 10
    \”good neighbors\” they claimed
    Ironic I\’d say,
God etched their name in stone.

    America needs to change.
    Our Children are in trouble.
Love, Laughter & Honor are free,
somehow America lost sight of this.

Our mortgage payment has just gone up $100.00 because of the increase in the insurance payments.
We are a retired couple. How does this make sense to anyone?
Just two years ago we refinanced to a lower interest rate. Now the \”legalized mafia\” known as insurance companies has come along and added to our debt.
I suppose we should count our blessings that they haven\’t seen fit to cancel our insurance altogether like they\’ve done to so many others in Florida.

    WHY SHOULD HOMEOWNERS,

WHY SHOULD THE POLICY, EXCLUDE ALL DAMAGE OF THE MULTI MILLION HOMES, RECREATION, AND BUSINESS\’ IN PLACES WHERE YOU THINK THEY SHOULD BE.
DEVELOPERS WOULD BUILD MORE IF NATURAL DISASTER INSURANCE WERE SUBSIDIZED BY FLOOD INSURANCE IT WOULD BE PAID 100% WITHOUT ANY EXCLUSIONS OR LOOP HOLES.

READ YOUR POLICY, YOU DON\’T HAVE COVERAGE EITHER, DOES NOT MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE.
NO COLLAPSE, NO RAIN, HAIL, SNOW, WIND.

YOU WILL NEED CONGRESS TO HELP MANDATE A FAIR POLICY FOR HOMEOWNERS.
