They are not offering any transfers from their Atlanta office. They are offering jobs but the employees must assume the cost of the move. Many of their employees have been loyal for years but the company is not returning the favor. I have no respect for this company and would not consider them a potential employer. The talent pool in Alabama if far less than Atlanta. You will see this company decline…and deservedly so. My sympathies to all the employees of this company who stood by the organization with change and change imposed upon them. I apologize for the insult being imposed upon you.
You can\’t really expect anything else being that Infinity was part of Great American Insurance. They always seem to be trying to figure out what kind of an insurance company they want to be and if employees are affected… so be it.
It\’s unfortunate they will not offer transfers from their Atlanta office, however you must realize this is 2006/2007, not 1980.
Companies, regardless of industry compete globally and must remain profitable. Loyalty of an employee is a good thing and I for one don\’t discount loyalty. However if you put all your eggs in on basket, then you\’ll be limited with what you can do (or in this case, where you\’re employed) when an upset occurs.

Well, being from Alabama and in the insurance business I\’d say \”that is your opinion\”. You demonstrate bitterness and seem disgruntled. Again, companies go where they will be must profitable, and Georgia is a bloated and expensive state to operate in.
Alabama, Jefferson County and the city of Birmingham offered incentives to get the business… you have an issue with Georgia, not Infinity.

I wish you well in seeking out a new employer.
