What Mr. Hood is failing to recognize is that the devastation he is dealing with did not effect the vast majority of Americans. The issues he is working with will not cause a National Uprising. Worst case scenario for the Coastal Communities will be a Nationalization of Insurance that accurately reflects how Middle America really feels about the people who build houses near the Ocean(s) and expect all the Inland Populace to cover (pay) for their decision.

    Amen, Jeff…

Hood is no more than a political hack, looking for votes. Read the suit he filed; it is mostly lies, and the form he attached as evidence is from a non-existent company.

If I ran the company I work for, I\’d start pulling out today! This country was founded on free market priciples, not the socialist system so many lazy bums desire. You help hundreds of thousands of people and all you get is bad press for the less than 1% of claims that didn\’t go perfectly. SCREW THEM ALL!

The Miss. AG has powerful company helping him. Miss. Senator and former cheerleader Trent Lott is suing State Farm and has the help of his brother-in-law Richard Scruggs who made a mint off of the tobacco lawsuit shake down.

I\’m surprised that these people that have no respect for a dollar because they always have their hands in someone else\’s pockets have not simply demanded that the US Treasury pick up the tab for these uninsured claims. Any why not? The so-called federal \”flood insurance\” program already takes money out of every taxpayers pockets to pay flood claims for morons that build houses in areas that WILL flood.

It appears that the state of Miss. wants insurers to do business at the whim of politicians and trial lawyers. Basically, the policies that they sell would no longer have any meaning if these folks get their way. How can any commercial insurer price coverage when they cannot define what\’s covered?

As usual, people like the AG, Trent Lott and his brother-in-law are using the courts to push their agendas. Too bad the AG, Mr. Lott or his trial lawyer friends don\’t have a clue about running their own business or creating anything of value. They all sponge off the sweat of others and none of them run a real business that produces things and then sells it for a dollar. If they did then it would be sweet to see the shoe on the other foot.

They should settle! No, not the carriers…the claimants! Like all before them, they didn\’t want to spend the money on flood coverage & didn\’t want to settle for just the wind damage which was relatively minor in comparison. Where are the articles about the successful settlements? Oh yeah, NOBODY cares about them!!

I hope and pray that Mississippi can kick the _ _ _ of all the poor insurers. After all they did not make any more that $15 Billion this year.

If they had attempted to do things correctly they would not be in this mess.
