    Anyone who would risk 15 years in jail to save $67,000 should be named Mauron, not Mauro!

    $67,000 is the least of his problems….

    I assume his CGL carrier is due some $$ since payroll is used to develop their as well. Moreover, there’s dear ‘ol Uncle Sam to consider…If he under reported his payroll by over $300,000 — his income certainly must be in question if he was going to cover his tracks…

    People like this are why contractors get a bad rap — and why insurance companies are less than eager to rely on their so-called integrity. I am sure he is not the first, nor the last that is scamming the Carriers — it just hurts the rest of the contracting industry — and why companies are less willing to offer broadened coverage — they have no idea what they are getting themselves into until it is too late and the coffers’ are bare.

    What a racket…
