Remember last year all the huricanes were Bush\’s fault? So where\’s the praise for the minimal number and damage this year?

    What are this guy thinking.
No one is even thinking about Pres Bush in a time of a crisis, you have got to be kidding.
Stop reminding us about him, please.
    Thank you

What I\’m thinking about is the rash of people blaming the president for last year\’s hurricanes. Many of whom couldn\’t wait much more than a day before launching their criticisms. So obviously there are those who will use any time of crisis to bash Bush.

And now I\’m just wondering why there isn\’t the same level of praise this year.

Hehe funny Ned. I agree we should heap praise on Bush for scaring all the hurricanes away.

But last year\’s blame was largely b/c everything was so bad down there that we needed someone to blame. Mike Brown was convenient since he botched alot of the early coordination of relief. Then we blamed Nagin, but he\’s a slick talker. We all know he was negligent. And yet there he still is.

But Bush is a guy who draws criticisms b/c of his constant \”misspeaks\” and his controversial policy decisions. Perfect scapegoat.

I agree there was much criticism about post-Katrina handling, some justified but still no worse than the handling of other major hurricanes. But what I was referring to was those that actually blamed the president for the actual hurricane happening. It goes something like Bush policies are causing global warming which is causing more and more powerful hurricanes. So my point is since there have been less and less powerful storms this year, where’s the credit?
