We just want to know where you were while they were driving their companies into the ground.

What does this have to do with claims payment or market conduct. If you don\’t pay your claims then the financials mean nothing.

Why is the Dept. looking at them now. As far back as three years ago it was obviuos to see where they were headed with what little reinsurance they had and writing almost every inland condo. Assoc. in Broward county.

    Thanks Kevin

This POS company has been hush on their financials even to AM Best. By hiding it for 2 years shows arrogance, ignorance, and not only stupidity for not going down earlier.

Just waiting for Charlie Crist to indict the owners for fraud, then let them starve for the 30 million bonus and pay the millions they owe everyone in claim payouts.

Most of you make me laugh. You don\’t have the facts but you feel it necessary to pile it on? Don\’t pay claims???? They probably pay claims as well as any company out there. Poe has filled a huge hole in PL market for the past several years but just got too big too fast. I can\’t even read this garbage that some of you put out any longer.

I\’m glad your laughing Louis, but you are probably the only one. Everyone who has been paying attention knows that Poe has the worst reputation in the state for paying out claims fairly. Most customers had to take out home equity loans to make up the difference. I had to have my attorney file suit just to get what an honest adjuster assessed as my damages. Bill Poe Jr. was my initial adjuster, and he tried his best to leave us hanging in the wind. Your weak, and suspicous attempts to defend these crooks is indicative of your ignorance in this matter.

I\’ve been following it, but I also agree with Louis. Some of you are way over the top with your citicisms.

With little more to go on, other than the anonymous moniker you\’ve chosen to hide behind, I would ask at least one thing from you, \”Purple\”: From which, if any, of Poe\’s companies do you speak from personal, direct experience with? I\’m sure that everyone, excepting possibly Louis, would love to be enlightened by your positive first-hand dealings with any member of the Poe family.

McCarty had no power under Gallagher. Gallagher seized all of the \”photo ops\” with Jeb and George W., in prepartion for his \”goober\”natorial run.

Now McCarty is set up as the \”fall guy\” for Gallagher, who wants to distance himself from the issue of rates and insolvency.

Your comments are so out of line they should be dismissed entirely. First Bill Poe Jr. is NOT an adjuster. So if he was handling your claim, you DO have a problem. Each individual adjuster at Poe had their own license to worry about and would not committ unfair claim practice. Ignorance in the matter is yours and appropriately documented. I was an Adjuster at Poe, and you are way off base. Poe is guilty of not having enough help to handle the increadible number of claims submitted and of poor underwriting decisions. Crooks? Not from what I saw.
