THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER IS THE COMPANIES OF POE FINANCIAL ARE TAKE OUT COMPANIES APPROVED BY THE DFS AT GALLAGER\’S DIRECTION. THESE COMPANIES WERE BETTER FINANCED THAN MOST IF NOT ALL THE OTHERS. HE MUST NOT HAVE THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO COME BACK TO BITE HIM IN THE UNDERSIDE SO QUICKLY. BUT THEN AGAIN DO YOU THINK HE WAS WILLING TO GAMBLE 2004 AND 2005 WERE NOT GOING TO HAPPEN BEFORE THE UPCOMING ELECTIOS?

Its extremely easy to sit there and criticize what you don\’t know. Regardless what you want to think, the state of Florida was better off with Poe rather than without. If Citizens had all of these policies from the beginning, the surcharges would be astronomical. For those of you who are insured through Citizens should know this firsthand. Its fine to not have any compassion for Mr. Poe but think about his intentions besides being profitable because lets face it – no matter who you are, you will always be in it for the money. Without Poe in the game, Citizen\’s deficit would be a lot more than what it is right now. People want to harp that something needs to change in the State of Florida insurance market but whenever someone really tries to change it and it fails, they are called pigs and greedy politicians. Do you honestly think that is a fair assessment? Poe went to great lengths to secure not only financial stability within the state but to help the state of florida overcome the insurance crisis. So before you agents sit there and call Mr. Poe pigs and a greedy politician, you guys are the ones mad because of the money aspect of this – so who is the pig now? The agent\’s livelihoods are not the only ones\’ at stake – lets have some compassion for the 300 employees that will need to look for a new job.

It all started when these knuckelheads did not open their books to AM Best and major rating organizations.

This gave the directors a chance to offshore the money in a hidden bank account just like ARIES did.

Its time for a criminal shakedown and find that this crappy company stole money.

They should have started non-renewing policies last year and they might have made it…

They would have been \”mean\” to non-renew.

Better to be \”mean\” than to have the insureds go thru the liquidation process. That\’s the process from hell – no policy, no refund for 4 to 5 mos, a $100 deductible. Delays in claim payments for mos — and ya have to go out and get new coverage from somewhere….it\’s a really bad situation.

Let the investigations begin. Politicians,Ins Dept, condo board members (where they had another option)etc.. Couldn\’t happen to a nicer group of people. Guess they never reinvented the wheel.

Didn\’t overcharge enough??? Didn\’t OVERcharge enough? You can\’t possibly be serious. Considering they are going into rahab and liquidation, OVERcharge shouldn\’t even be in the vocabulary!!! Let me guess, you\’re one of those folks that thinks that buying insurance is your RIGHT. Better guess again. Insurance companies are like any other business, they have to make a profit or this is what happens. Good grief.

If you haven\’t been doing insurance for at least 20 years like I have…Here\’s good advise….LAUGH LOUDLY!!!, I agree, couldn\’t have happened to a better company..(doesn\’t like to pay agents, and would rather take their clients)….Also, check Florida web-site div of rehab…look at the long list of companies …….

Great Jokes is the one I liked the most….or how about First Miami—the ones that left the country…..

    :)
