No Mark they are not the same thing.

I am a member of both organizations for the time being anyway.
I contacted PIA and FAIA & was told they would check into it and let me know what was up, 5 weeks later and 3 more phone calls I receive the following answer from PIA \” The actual commission rate will vary based on the territory, and you must be in a territory that has a lower rate\”. The response from FAIA was we have asked and they are aware of the problem and know that the change has not occurred because of the OIR objections, they then requested a statement in writing which was sent.

I received the letter from FAIA explaining the problem a week before PIA posted it in an email that had numerous sections cut & pasted from the FAIA letter, they did not even try to hide it.

I am starting to lean to one side because the other can\’t explain why these problems happen and only insist the allegations are not true, I am positive some of them are true, as they were basically admitted to in a letter from the Pres. that indicated MOST of the allegations were not true.
That means some of them WERE true.

Anyway, Citizens is scum and I think a class action suit would be in order for breech of contract and failure to take action as promised, not to mention the service problems they fail to correct.

citizens board sucks. FAIA has a curious hatred of PIA and uses every occasion to bash them. Why can\’t everybody just get along?

    NOT!

Citizens is nothing more than a bankrupt timebomb waiting to explode. Gallagher should not count his votes yet when it comes time to renew our homeowners policies and when people fall off their chairs and take on second and third jobs to support his regime.

The time is to band together whether its independent or direct writers and get our money just like the greedy ******* attorney\’s that suck every dime from our lifebloods insurance companies.

    Enough is enough.

It\’s funny how Citizens just \”forgot\” about the implementation of the commissions increase. The real truth is, Gallagher wants to minimize Citizens\’ rate increase any way he can to keep his sagging gubernatorial chances afloat. If the commission increase is not implemented, the additional points can be shaved off the rate increase. The promised commission increase will never happen. It will just be one excuse after another.

Tom Gallagher has been lying to Floridians for years and agents are used to it. If Tom had any balls he would do what is right and that is to require the commission CORRECTION to be retroactive back to when they reduced it. This is NOT a increase.

I think we will start to see another push for an agents fee if this crap keeps happening. Between the ca-ca we put up with from Citizens and all the non- renewals that we are dealing with, an agents fee should be considered.

And by the way PIA did not discover this, they copied a memo from FAIA 5 days after FAIA sent it out

I\’m really getting tired of the negative comments that some individuals feel compelled to spew every time PIA send out a notice. I\’m an agent in South Florida and I happened to call PIA over 2 months ago with a question about my Citizens commission. I received a call back every day or so over the next several days until they were able to get someone at Citizens to explain what was happening. At that time I was told the entire story and was also told that they had requested Citizens to issue a formal statement that could be sent to agents. It took more than a few weeks to get that statement but I was copied in on the email from Suzanne Murphy. Like Mr. O\’Connell says, it\’s not PIA that continues to fabricate stories.

By the way, I belong to both associations and I decided to call PIA because I knew they would follow-up for me.
