I tink it is fair for people to charge the higher price for someting! In my store, I charged $6.00 for loaf of bread…you do not want it then do not buy it (someone else will). Yes,it is not fairto customer…but howelse can small store owners make a profit in a storm? This is stupid law and only stupid people who do not know of retail business like it!

You make a profit the same way you did before the storm. By selling goods with a reasonable mark-up. A natural disaster is not a license to increase your profits by taking advantage of persons in need. I hope that $6 loaf of bread spoiled on your shelf. You clearly did not raise your prices because of \’supply & demand\’, but because of greed.
