Has anyone noticed that the people in trouble at Citizens for conflict of interest have either been recommended or are associates of Tom Gallager, the individual who seems to be taking the lead in rooting out the conflicts?

This is Florida, what’s wrong with a conflict in interest?

Conflict of Interest should be the new name for Citizens. Someone should check the conflict of interest when MR. G and Citizen’s boss forced underwriters to reinstate friends and associates insurance policies though they had been lapsed for as much as a year… these people got claims paid while others wait for years… interview some of the ex-citizens employees and get the names… they’re all well known in Florida’s political and social circles. This is a seedy company run by seedy politicians.

This is a classic example of what happens when government attempts to run/dominate [a]business, particularly in a complex industry. The “insiders” aggregate power, make the rules, get the plums, and far too often lose sight of the “public interest”–far too busy advancing their own aspirations to serve the marketplace.

Yet, segments of the public clamor for even more government–asking that it provide healthcare, no less.

Let a fiasco like this teach an important lesson. Again.

Is seedy a synonym (spelling)for politician?

Isn’t this guy Gallager the same man who has national presence as his company is buying agencies all over?

I wrote in this blog a couple of weeks ago about this crook Colodny and his weasel sidekick Freddy Karlinsky. Its good to see Colodny staying true to form -lying to the end. He claims it wasn’t a conflict for the weasel to represent takeout companies while he represented Citizens. Ask the takeout companies if they would have hired his firm if not for his position at Citizens. They will all say they hired Karlinsky because of Colodny’s ability to rig the process to get the plum policies they wanted from Citizens.
