I have it from inside Nationwide that they will ONLY renew those who take their way overpriced auto. Someone needs to investigate the immoral stuff that goes on inside that company and with their agents.

Why pick on Nationwide now? Why didn’t Gallagher start with Allstate’s 95,000 and Safeco’s 30,000 homeowners policies? Keep the homeowners or take the auto with you.
It’s all right though, Southern Family will pick up the slack, they are a “fine ” company!!! Demotech A is starting to look good.

When is the State of Florida going to attack the root of the problem??? Here we are putting band-aids on things that require surgery.
Florida Legislature should begin considering tougher construction codes (like in Dade county) that reflect the envirnment we live in. If we have properties built to sustain a decent hurricane, we may not nessessary have insurance companies shaking in their boots for the next big one.
Florida have two counties that are exempt with building codes near the panhandle. These homes are built in a fasion to be destoyed by its surounding natural elements!!!
Florida builders Association, Insurance leaders and legislatures should take note!!!

The Homebuilders Assn is a powerful lobby. It and it’s puppet politicians have for years succeeded in blocking legislation that would require the Panhandle to have the same building code as the rest of FL. They refuse to believe home buyers would rather pay more for better-built homes than make numerous storm-related claims.
