Low premiums are not worth it if they get you sucky claims experience!

They will ask for a double digit rate increase next year! The OIR will then call for a public hearing! They will get the increase.

No I’m not an agent for them. I would not want to be an agent for them. But if what Rate Maker says is true, they are smart & devious!

I would venture to say that this is nothing more than a way to stay off the radar, They have had horrific problems settling claims and paying clients and their rates are so far out of whack that I don’t think they could justify an increase. So why not just shut up and don’t give the DFS a reason to investigate claims payments and rate adequacy. They have a very unusual HO8 that gives replacement cost coverage, but it is 3 to 4 times more expensive than an HO3. but they will take homes up to 100 years old on the HO8, if you got the $ to pay the premium. Have not seen a marketing rep in over 2 years. and My E&O carrier issued an endorsement for specific insolvency of this carrier. Why waste my time.

This is the last company that will be able to get an increase. apparently they cleaned house about a year ago, new reps, new underwriting dept, new VP. and they still don’t know how to treat agents or clients.
