Innocent until proven.. Guilty by association. Steve knowingly would not harm anyone (senior-junior-etc.)
Both he and Joyce are a fine couple, How do I know this. Life’s experience makes you very aware, the good the bad and caring. I do not know them a long time, but time enough to say “I wish them the very best and may God show them the way to overcome a bad time in their lives and they will be in my prayers
    God Bless JC

If Steve is such a stand up guy, when do all the investors get their money returned?

You would. And to the guy that saw Tom save a dog, I saw him wave around a gun during road rage.. so send your feel good story to readers digest. He won’t be getting any good samaritan awards anytime soon. Look at all the lives he’s screwed with…

The thought of Tommy in prison makes me smile! I hope the boy’s in prison do to him what he AND his partner did to all of us—screwed us! Sweat justice! Tom going bankrupt is sweat as well.

Tom’s favorite expression is “…go F your mother!” He’s no choir boy and don’t try to make one out of him. Especially that girl, she looks “rode hard and put away wet!”

i have been sitting here reading all these comments back & forth and finally felt the need to add some of my own. although i might address some points from a few days ago, i feel the need to express my opinion anyway!!!
michele alludes to the fact that steve & joyce are asking people to post comments and that these are all coming from the same computer, did you ever think that maybe these are all older people with something in common who got together and had someone help them type. They all seem to have a lot to say pertinent to the charges and tom’s character. also no one attacked michele – only defended joyce in rebuttal! i have known steve & joyce for quite a few years and in my estimation they are fine people with good character, morals and a great sense of family & G-D. I would stake all i have that whatever mess steve is in, he can & will prove himself innocent. as for the young lady who says she does not ever want to meet him, your loss is all i can say! i have also met tom & michele at the petrarca home over the holidays on more than one occassion. tom appears to me to be the shyster everyone is making him out to be and as for michele i have seen her in action first hand and you do give the appearance of someone who worked “the brass pole” as stated in an earlier posting. As for Amanda’s comments that she disappeared and held up x-mas dinner its all true. i was a witness to how upset tom was when she disappeared to go “get her fix”. i know this has no relevance to the case, but i felt that i needed to address that anyway! when all is said & done, i am sure that this michele wil get thrown under the bus as well for her part in this mess! steve & joyce are too trusting, they open their home each year to all for the holidays and have nothing but big hearts & good intentions. Tom is much younger than steve, and i speak from personal knowledge when i say steve did not know him in Rhode island, but was introduced to him through the sons of italy. that being said, he didnt know what he was getting himself into when he became affiliated with him. I’ll bet steve is very sorry that he never checked with his brother for his opinion on what tom is all about, but then again, steve is all about giving someone the benefit of the doubt and a second chance which is what he should be given as well. tom’s troubles with his ponzi business began long before he ever met steve. tom had a company called palm beach financial that steve was never a part of, thats where the real ponzi scheme is, american income is separate & apart from PB finanacial & tom’s ponzis. I feel confident that steve can clear himself, good people always have the truth on their side.

I do not know Tommy — nor do I care to — but I do know Steven and Joyce Petrarca – both whom I adore. Steven is an honest man with a conscience who would never knowingly endanger his career or family over something so petty as money. His honor and word are most important to him along with the life he shares with his family. With this e-mail I am sending the Petrarcas my heartfelt support — they deserve it!

To B: You said it! Tom’s been scamming people for years. And everyone knows it. Why did the Sons allow him to solicit from their club? The way my father was introduced to Tom was through the Sons, when Tom asked everyone to “jump on the bandwagon.” If you knew someone was a thief, would you allow them into your house to sell to a family member? I don’t think so.

“if Steve is such a stand up guy?” How can someone return money that was stolen by Tom Masciarelli To pay back his palm beach ponzi’s?Tom spends his days at the track, or the strip club with his concubine, the investors should ask her how much investor $ went up her nose.
Steve and I were in the National Guard together, he is a soldier, and a “stand up guy” more than any other I have come to know. I would be proud to stand behind him nomatter what. This Tom Masciarelli has been in trouble for years, I am angered just reading all the stories of people and entire families he has come in contact with, just to scam. I am sure he did this to my old buddy Steve also, and to think that Steve let this type of person infiltrate his business and family.
As for Petrarca’s dignity and respect for the elderly, I can remember hurricane Gloria, back in Sept of ’85 when together we drove through terrible road conditions, downed power lines, and relocated, 100’s of elderly to safer conditions, which they could not have done themselves.
