I think that this is a good idea in theory. However, living in a military town I see some problems. Most military homeowners are married and their spouses would still be living in their homes. The problem I see would be in Renters policies. The military does allow single soldiers of a certain rank to live off base. These soldiers would need some type of protection from the vacancy clause in their renters policies.
