hurricane season is three months away,so get the Cat Fund Changed to help benefit the homeowners.the losses were to great this season.people were hurt.
I agree with Allstate Floridian that our state legislators should reform Florida’s hurricane catastrophe reserve fund so that it provides more immediate benefit, by allowing benefits to flow from the Cat Fund based upon a single seasonal deductible, and by lowering the total amount of losses that insurers must bear before drawing the money paid into the Cat Fund.
please expand the cat fund to allow benifits to flow from the cat fund based on a single seasonal deductible and second to lower the total amount of losses that insurers must bear before drawing the money paid into the cat fund.
To our State Lawmakers,
Please consider changing the Cat Fund Law–first to allow benefits to flow from the Cat Fund based upoan a singel seasonal deductible and second, to lower the total amount of losses that insurers must bear before drawing the money paind into the Cat Fund.
It is time to come to the aid of the little guy and pass a substanial law to help reduce the high unaffordable costs of insuance in this state.
STOP TALKING THIS THING TO DEATH AND DO SOMETHING FOR A CHANGE
It is time to review the Cat Fund issues and assist Floridians with the costs of damage that we incur yearly from the sometimes devastating hurricanes we experience each year, the costs are catastrophic and our government must support its people. Assist us with legislature that can help your fellow citizens. The pain of loosing valuables and memories is hard to deal with but to have to meet a large deductible or several deductibles(i.e. 2004 hurricane season)is outrageous. Secondly, this law would help Floridians who may already pay large amounts of money for coverage (i.e. Miami) by assisting in not raising the current rates for coverage.
I’m sorry but i’m yet to see what if any of this cat fund or what ever is going to help us senior citizen’s who now cannot afford home owners insurance. Mine was canceled due to these storms, iwas paying 480.00 a year on a 1oo,oo dollar home now they rasied it abovethat to 1400.00 ayear, my social sec check wont go that far. In plain ENGLISH, cain’t afford it. what do we do ?/
