Scrugg\’s towing and recovery was not charged with anything and is up and running and working for the city of Savannah Police Dept. This tells us there must not have been any evidence and this slander needs to be updated to state such.

As the owner of both Scruggs Towing Companies I would like everyone to know that, Parking Services started this investigation due to numerous complaints I had made about them and how they conduct business. In which they play favortism to certain Towing Companies in Savannah, Georgia. As to the charges of Insurance fraud and/or forgery they did not prove their case in the Court system. Also, if the news press would have been there when they originally RAIDED our offices with guns drawn and had all employees sitting on the floor, while they tore apart our entire filing system and searched everyones vehicle that they (Savannah – Metropolitan Police Department)had us tow into our facility you would have thought there had been a murder investigation. Since the investigation started and $50,000.00 worth of attorney fees, we were put back on the Police rotation showing that there was NO Insurance Fraud nor Forgery. Parking Services constantly tries to harrass our company to the point that we have now hired an attorney to sue the city for all of the bad publicity and all losses of company funds, trucks, etc… Mr. John Oxendine should give us a formal appology on the News with all of the news press companies that he brought with him to our facilities, and we deserve some sort of compensation for the losses of my one company and for the slander since this was slander and has been through the court process where there was no evidence of what we have been accused of. I feel Mr. Oxendine should come back to Savannah to do this formal appology as he came here for a false accusation. At the time of the accusations Mr. Oxendine was running for a political position in which he dropped out of the running for the position when things started in the Court process in where there was NO evidence. I feel Mr. Oxendine was in Savannah to try to win political brownie points with the public and, this is the reason he came to Savannah and made such awful and untruthful statements about my companies. It is sad for Sandy\’s & Russell\’s children having to watch their parents first on T.V. then put behind bars (arrested) for false accusations. Now it is taking a lot to repair our hurt family and business to be able to survive in this town. We will keep pursueing the sueing process of the Parking Services & Mr. Oxendine until we can recoop all of our loses, monetary and family wise. This entire ordeal should have never happened or taken to this extreme inwhere as a small family owned business would not only loose there only source of income to take care of their family, which also almost tore the family apart where the children suffer the most. I would hope & pray that Mr. Oxendine owns up to being hasty and having bad judgement by coming to Savannah on a complaint not even proven and putting this all over the news with our pictures to tear up a families life that is just out there trying to make an honest living to support their children.
