What I don’t understand is why some opportunistic and creative attorney didn’t file a class action suit on behalf of all Florida residents to have the term “occurrence” redefined by the judicial system. Heck, the entire hurricane season and the repeated storms which hit the state could have all been considered as one continuous event so that the insurance companies could have applied only one deductible in the first place.

At least the state of Florida is trying to help their citizens.
Here in Maryland, they turned their back on Isabel victims and left us to fend for ourselves. A lot of talk and nothing gets done. They institute loan programs to rebuild that no one is eligible for and money to raise your house after the fact that most people already did so and now are not eligible. Who thinks these programs up? Fifteen months and that’s the best that you can do?
Happy Holidays from the residents of trailers and temporary housing!
We are remembering when we had a home, too.
This is our second holiday living like this.
We can not believe how the state of Maryland and also Anne Arundel county have treated us. We will remember this on the next election.
You have a moral obligation and have failed miserably.

Insurance companies are “for profit” businesses. Either we chose to be “self insured” (the deductible)for part of the loss or we pay for it in higher premiums. The media has already been pointing out that taxes in Florida will go up again next year to pay for the deductible reimbursements the state is going to make. The alternative is to become a “socialist” state, they don’t insurance companies. The government pays (or doesn’t pay) for losses. Of course they also determine which job you will work and how little you will get paid.

At least Gallagher is doing something.
In Maryland Al Redmer has done nothing to
help the victims after Isabel. I wonder if
he got all his insurance money for his waterfront home?
What ever happened to Anthony Lowe and Trey Reid? I am begining to think
there is some fishy business going on in
Washington. Families are at stake and no
    one cares.
