Insurance as it is written (and priced) has a deductible for each occurance. If multiple hurricanes could be considered one occurance, why couldn’t all the wind/hail storms in Texas in one year, be considered one occurance. It can, or we can eliminate deductibles all together, if we are willing to pay for it. Maybe Florida should have a State Fund (called Taxpayers)to reimburse for multiple deductibles. Somebody has to pay, whether it is up front in higher premiums or after the fact in reimbursements, if we want to call all claims one occurance.
