West Virginia’s Workers’ Compensation Commission recently filed
injunctions against three state employers whose accounts with the Commission are reportedly in default.

Injunctions were filed in Kanawha County Circuit Court against the following:

• Billy G. Ellis Inc., owner of a Cabell County residential contracting and construction business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $12,871.35;
• Joseph M. Farber, owner of a Monongalia County auto accessory sales and repair business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $19,268.39; and
• James E. Raines, owner of a Harrison County timbering and logging business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $43,753.07.

Workers’ Compensation Commission Executive Director Gregory Burton said the Commission will continue initiating litigation involving delinquent businesses throughout the state to help assure everyone pays their fair share.

The injunctions call for the firms to cease business.
