In my opinion, insurance is a scam, PERIOD! ALL insurance. The only reason we have it is because our society decided we had to have everything now, and pay for it later. If I told you I was going to insure your house for 100K, wouldn’t you feel better knowing that I actually had 100K? This isn’t rocket science. There should be guidelines in place to “insure” (lol) that if a company writes a policy, it has the financial means to fulfill that obligation. Not on a percentage basis. I’m talking about being able to pay all claims at once to all customers. Now, wouldn’t that make sense? OR…hmmmm, I could promise you in writing that I will pay you, and if I don’t, you garnish my wages. NO INSURANCE NEEDED! Anyway, I feel better now. Sure, I may sound like a loose cannon, but we did this to ourselves, and the only way out is through ourselves. If every man could take responsibility for his own actions (figuratively speaking ladies)the world would be a better place with less insurance, and fewer lawyers! What can we do? Stop financing, and only insure what is required by law. Then, go out and fight to change those laws that require insurance.
