I am curious to know what constituted “improper Sales”. . . what was in violation of Department of Defense Rules. . . what were the areas of concern. . . how did agents selling. . . .these products in a manner inconsistent both to the company’s operating proceedure and with Department of Defense requirements. . .

I have an insurance product from American Amicable. I received it in the military and from one of the terrible American Amicable agents. They came to my house and talked me into saving $200.00. I would have never begun saving if it hadn’t been for my agent. My annuity has outpaced my mutual fund. Thanks American Amicable. You journalists should get your story straight before you do a one sided report on the poor poor soldiers getting scammed. You don’t think these guys can make their own decisions? I, as a vetrin, take offense to that.

Hey in 1995 I knew this was shabby. I wrote a letter to them and they stated they would take me to court. About time something gets done on these bad people.

I was sold a policy in 1988 from this same company while working for the United States Postal Service. An agent came to the office to promote the insurance, I was also told this was a money making policy. I still have this policy today! Very interesting, please keep us posted.

I know there was a settlment in this case a while back and I just wanted to know where my money is at and where or whne do I get it back. We were sold on an invetment fraud and for years there was nothing to follow up with. It is about time someone step in and take care of us poor soldiers. I signed up in 1995 along with a bunch of guys from my class and again in 1997 to up my contribution thinking that I was making money. We have soldiers dedicated thier lives and lifstyle for the need of the country but still more companies are ready to take advantage of them and take a bite out of their small paycheck. I need to know who to talk to about getting my investment back from this company, I would dedicate that fund to the wife, widow and orphanes of those that give the ultimate sacrifice.
