Makes you think. Drugs are always in touch with other crimes. When are we going to end our war in the US on drugs and worry about the third worlds after we clean up our own backyard.

i was reading the info on phillips roofing co. and if you ask me the poor guy was just trying to make a living like a million other contractor out there like me. also, it seems to me that the people that hired him should still be obligated to hire him since that he has not committed any kind of scam or run. it also seems to me that if he was hired to do the job and had not recieved any cash I guess that goes to show that he trusts those little florida yuppies more than they deserved. what, do they think that florida is the golden state? people need to realize that contractors are the only reason that the state of florida is even in half of its shape. you see people on t.v. saying how their homes are destroyed and there homeless. well they would be s.o.l. if it was not for contractors that try to help. there is enough work in this country for contractors and for one to go out of their way to florida is a big smack in the face of the american construction worker. who knows maybe their roofs that they had fixed will still leak and their so called contractors with their license will screw it up and be like a big smack in the face. florida isn’t that much on its own that it doesnt need any other help. say other people can’t work, well how about we see how long florida lasts with out other peoples help and support. people like phillips probably have paid their part in taxes to help the same people that put him where he is. sure hope they feel better.

Floridians don’t think they are better than the rest of the world. We have learned from experience that disasters tend to bring out the worst in people. So many people were ripped off by unlicensed contractors after Andrew came through in 92 that laws had to be passed to protect hurricaine victims from being further victimized by ruthless people out to make a quick buck on a desperate person whose roof was blown off their home and had to have it fixed quick or else loose everything inside it too. The laws were passed to keep out the thieves and liars, not to prevent honest contractors who truely want to help from doing their jobs.

As a floridian I can honestly say that we are so very thankful to all the out of state folks who have come to our rescue…. power crews, tree crews, garbage haulers, telephone, insurance agents, red cross, salvation army, FEMA……. everyone, thanks to all of the help we’ve gotten one day Florida will once again be a beautiful place to live.

I am Licenced in La. and would be willing to optain a Fla. license to work in the
Pencecola area, but as I hear it we are
not wanted there.According to the paper
the people can’t find enough help.
I guess the people of Fla. would rather
wait 2 years in misery than have others
come and help. thats whats going around??
