Pan-American Life Promotes Four

New Orleans-based Pan-American Life announced the promotions of Ronnie Spedale to second vice president, Worksite Sales and Marketing; Eric Lopez to second vice president, International Sales and Marketing; Alfredo Ramirez to regional sales manager; and Salvador Leiva to regional sales manager.

Spedale joined Pan-American in 1990 and will manage the outside sales activities of five regional sales and recruiting offices, with all Worksite regional managers reporting to him. He had previously served as a regional sales director responsible for the company’s two largest distribution partners.

Lopez joined Pan-American in 1993 and will be responsible for the management of all international individual life sales, overseeing six sales managers in Pan-American’s international branches and affiliates and approximately 70 independent sales agencies. He will also oversee agency recruitment, market analysis, and product development.

Ramirez returns to Pan-American after an absence of several years, having accepted the position of regional sales manager for the company’s individual insurance operations in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. He will focus on strengthening Pan-American’s Central American local market operations and will be based in Guatemala.

Leiva has accepted the position of regional sales manager for Pan-American’s group insurance operations in Guatemala and El Salvador. He will be based in Guatemala.
