Oklahoma City Releases Preliminary Tornado Damage Survey

The Oklahoma City Emergency Management office has released its preliminary survey of damage caused by a March 25 tornado.

The city reports 89 homes with minimal damage and 50 homes – including 43 mobile homes – with minor damage. Twenty businesses have minimal damage; six have minor damage and two have major damage.

One public building had minor damage.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency will make the final determination on how a structure’s damage is categorized.

The tornadoes are blamed for a total of four deaths in the state; one in Sand Springs, two in Webbers Falls and one in Norman.
