$2.2M Tulsa Flood Control Project Finished

May 14, 2014

Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett and Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management director Albert Ashwood will announce the completion of a new $2.2 million flood control project on Monday.

Bartlett and Ashwood will be joined by Tulsa City Councilors G.T. Bynum and Blake Ewing at a 10 a.m. news conference. The Crow Creek Flood Control Project will help lower the flood risk for 62 neighborhood homes in Tulsa.

The project was made possible through a $1.5 million grant from FEMA. The city of Tulsa used funds from the stormwater utility fee to cover the remaining amount needed for the project.
