I truly understand the laws. But come on, life! serious people she needs to be in the a mental hospital. You can’t torture a person for a disease. I don’t care how many DWIs she had. She should have been sentence after the third. Don’t get angry with her. Help her because you never know where the demon will fall. Maybe this decision just hit close to home for the judge. I sense some personnel under lying issues here. Maybe if justice was equal you would have caught her a long time ago. Check the judges credentials and see if he/she is sleeping on the job or maybe on some type of health medication. Perhaps, even trying to run for a political office job. Because this decision came from a real unintelligent judge.
A person does not have the right to take someone life because they can’t figure out how life goes. I am sure the judge has scratch his/her head a time or two. Everyone in the world is guilty for something and we can’t just throw people in jail if they are ill. everyone is not you judge.

She got what she deserved. She has only been caught 6 times but no doubt she has done it more than 600 times. This will send a message to all the habiutal drunk drivers that you will do hard time if you dont at least have enough common sense to call for a ride.

Life in prison for DWI?? There are child rapist’s who don’t spend life in jai and that’s where they need to be. She needs detox and other methods to keep her from ever drinking again, but this is way over the top.

Seems to me that life in prision will at least keep her from getting another DWI

Sentances like this along with charging drunk drivers who kill someone with murder 1 will go along way in preventing these drunks from getting behind the wheel. You can call it an illness but at what point does the “illness” prevent you from picking up the phone and calling a Taxi??
