New Orleans is a financial suck hole. How many times will taxpayer dollars be wasted to rebuild it? Who was the idiot who built a city below sea level and thought earthen dams and pumps would protect it? New Orleans does nothing for the national economy. It’s wrought with fraud and mis-management. Close it down and make it a national park. Anyone who chooses to stay there is out of luck. Why should the rest of the country subsidize rebuiling their homes everytime a bad storm hits. There people are unemployed, un-skilled, un-educated, and don’t pay taxes or make purchases. Talk about a welfare state.
I would agree, but for the part of where do you expect all of the fraudsters and mis-managers supposed to go?? I don’t want them, got enough of that with Hurricane Rita. I say if they want to stay, then they do it without Government help, quit holding out your hands for a hand out and stand on your own. Maybe if more citizens cared about where they live and started helping out they would not be in this type of mess… Just sayin..
